Welcome to the Chaplaincy Program of HRU. Pastoral care/chaplaincy and counseling is in the proclamation of the Word of God in Christian ministry. This course consists of 4 Modules designed to enrich students in the knowledge of either beginning or continuing their work in this ministry. Upon completion of the program, students will receive a beautiful certificate acknowledging their accomplishment. It is our prayer that students are richly blessed as they complete each module.
Although many chaplains are ordained ministers, you do not have to be ordained to work as a chaplain, but you do have to have an endorsement or commission from your faith group. An endorsement may be obtained after satisfying specific education and training objectives outlined by an authority in your faith group.
