The Purposes of This Course

The Purposes of This Course are:

1. To provide the counselor with a credible alternative to the counseling techniques currently available to the Christian community.

2.  To teach the practical application of the theory of temperament.

3.  To provide the counselor with the means to effect substantialchange in the lives of those counseled.

4.  To help the counselor:

      (a) understand the "inner man" of the counselee.

      (b) determine the counselee's temperament needs.

       (c) show the counselee how temperament needs must be              met  in a balanced, Godly way.

5.  To enhance the counseling technique already learned so         the   counselor can lead the counselee to long-term



Welcome to the Basic Christian Counseling Course. We are excited that you have taken this step to continue your journey of what the Lord has ordained for you. During the first week of class, please review the course instructions carefully. The course material is included in the class, however, the actual teaching is on DVD that you should have received by now or will receive within the next few days. As always, God bless you on this continued journey in His service.

The instructions also include information regarding returning the exam material, please follow page 2 information regarding this class. However, because you are taking this course via H. Roscoe University, your exams will be uploaded for you prior to the exam date.

The purpose of this course is to give the student a working knowledge of temperament and how it affects every aspect of our lives. This course is provided to give insight and knowledge into the inner workings of man. The information provided within this course will provide the counselor with added confidence in his own ability to counsel. A theory is an assumption based upon certain evidence or observations, but lacking scientific proof. When a theory becomes generally accepted in the mind and firmly established, it then becomes a doctrine or principle.
